All work but no play makes Jack a dull boy. Yes. We firmly believe it. For a homogenous development of personality, sports, games, and such extracurricular activities are necessary. The importance of sports and games in school encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity. Increases in self-esteem and mental alertness make school sports and games necessary for every student. Games and sports are an integral part of a student’s life. A student should study hard to be successful in competitive examinations. But, he should also play games and sports to enjoy the health and vigor of life. The benefits of playing sports are multiple, and it leads to balanced mental and physical growth. It teaches the children life skills like teamwork, leadership, patience. It inculcates discipline and playing within the rules. Builds sportsmanship, which is to play within the spirits of the game and to deal with both winning and losing with grace. All of these experiences and habits are also useful in adult life.
Do you want your child to be more successful in the classroom and ultimately in life? Do not just tell them to grind the books for excessive studying leads to burnout. Instead, tell them to head out into the community to help others.
At Samhitha, we’ve found that students benefit greatly—both academically and emotionally—from volunteering their time to make the community and world a better place. That is why all Samhithians start volunteering whenever and wherever necessary.
Most importantly, students learn that the work they do can make a real impact in the world. By getting involved in community service at a young age, students learn:
• Collaboration with others
• Time management
Our students, Samhithians, are good at not only studies, sports and games but also at community services. They feel it their social responsibility.
Our students are driven by a belief in the importance of generosity and giving back to one’s community. They believe that the true meaning of life lies in giving happiness to others while following your own ambitions at the same time. In keeping with this spirit, they often devote their free time to volunteering in the National Association of the Deaf, where our volunteers tutor students and work to raise awareness and funds. This experience will influence their career goals leaving a positive impact on young minds.
In whatever tour they take part, our students feel it quite satisfactory as they always try to gain some practical knowledge. They are quite inquisitive in learning the things and make use of every minute and every step. Our industrialists of future.
